Itchy Lips

Movember: Our mustaches raise money for cancer research. You can help!

I've got Sabotage under my skin. #Movember donation request.

I am woefully delinquent on posting my Movember donation/requests.

This tune, Sabotage, was a challenge because the style is so unique, trying to do it straight would just come up short.

So I tried this version where I sing it to the tune of Sinatra's "I've Got You Under My Skin". It's still not where I'd like it to be, but the year is almost over and my wife is getting sick of my 'stache. Not to mention, I need a haircut.

So, Colin and Louise, thanks a ton for your donation. And Happy (belated) Anniversary. I hope you enjoyed it.

The Full Movember

Well just as I was getting used to the brush beneath my nose, Movember has come to a close.

Thanks, everyone, for your support this month. The Itchy Lips team raised more than $2,600 to fight cancer so far -- and Chris says the videos aren't finished.

As for my mustache: now you see it, now you don't. I suppose I'll have to find some other expression of my flamboyant personality.

Yours even without facial hair,

- Eric

Thanks for helping the #ItchyLips kick Testicular and Prostate Cancer in the nuts. #Movember

Well, it's been quite a month. To be honest, I will have conflicting thoughts when I remove my 'stache in the coming days.

I say "coming days" because I won't be removing my 'stache until I record/post a few Movember song requests. I'm regrettably late getting one video up and I got a few donations today from coworkers who've yet to decide what songs they'd like. And I'll be conflicted because for the past month, I've had a built-in excuse for looking as goofy as I normally do.

A big thanks and congratulations to Michael, who captained our team and personally raised over $1,000 this month. That's a job well done, sir. I'm really looking forward to next year's campaign when I will fundraise and grow my 'mo with more wisdom and vigor.

Here's a couple parting shots for your viewing enjoyment.

Thank You Itchy Lips

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the Itchy Lips team and all of the donors who helped us raise a nice chunk of change to fight cancer.

Thank you for joining the team and suffering through with the mustache this month. I must say, it wasn’t easy. And it just so happened that this month I had more meetings and conferences and speaking engagements than ever. But when that first donation came in (thank you Lisa Colton) I just had to stick it out. And I am glad I did.

I hope we can find time for a team meeting and drink sometime this winter in D.C.

All the best,

Michael

The Finishing Mo'

I have to say, though I am disappointed in my final numbers, I am not disappointed in being able to remove this awful thing. Perhaps with more grooming over time it would actually resemble something vaguely adult, however I am not interested in finding out (and I assure you neither is Louise).

Its been fun, interesting, and a good challenge. Thanks guys.

It's Movember 30th!

For the past thirty days, our mustaches have been painstakingly growing and growing to fight the battle against cancer. Today is your last opportunity to donate to the Movember cause but of course we need to keep raising awareness of the very real threats of prostate and testicular cancers.

My mustache culminates today with these pictures. It's been fun.

Mustache Workouts

Rizwan and I were out clowning for the camera, showing off our mustaches on our last workday before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Thanks, Sokunthea, for taking photos.

And thanks, everyone, for your support through Movember so far.

Your donations support the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong.

If you haven't donated yet -- now's your chance.

Sunday Mustache

Well the mustache -- such as it is -- seems to be coming along. Itchy, of course.

We're in the home stretches now. One week of Movember to go.

I'm beginning to think of how the mustache should go. Anyone have any stupid mustache tricks to suggest?

Thanks to those of you who have donated. And if you haven't yet, please donate. Fighting mens' cancers can't wait.

Mo' progress

Here’s my little over half-Movember update in mustache form (pictured) and donation form (90%).

Also, my friend’s dad just recently found out about a problem related to a prostate biopsy. I’m glad that despite my lack of awareness of these cancers prior to this month, Movember gave me an opportunity to be proactive and the feeling that I’m able to do something. Please be active and donate to this helpful cause!

Mo Upgrade - Time for greater level of commitment

Upon reviewing my previous facial hair in comparison with my Mo, and being inspired by the dashing looks of Mr. Hoffman, I decided I needed to upgrade my Mo. You, as well as my wife, are seeing the new version for the first time!
